Infosys HR round: what they actually ask (and how to answer)

19 May 2026 · Ixyle Team

The Infosys HR round filters for communication and intent. The questions are not hard; the failure mode is rambling, generic answers that sound rehearsed-but-empty. Specificity wins.

Questions that come up again and again

  • Tell me about yourself — keep it to 60-90 seconds, end with why you're here.
  • Why Infosys / why this role — say something only true of you, not a brochure line.
  • A time you handled conflict or failure — use a real example, structured (situation → action → result).
  • Are you comfortable with relocation and the training period — answer honestly; hesitation reads as flight risk.

The one habit that fixes most HR rounds

Record yourself answering three of these and play it back. You will immediately hear the filler, the hedging, and the places you trail off. Communication is the campus HR shortlist-maker, and it is the cheapest thing to improve in a week of focused practice.
